Hatcheries in Queensland have a very diverse range of fish that they produce. Stretching out to the Lake Eyre system, the upper Murray Darling and to coastal systems right up the coast to tropical areas.

Hatcheries produce a wide range and multiple varieties of fish for Aquaculture. These include species such as Barramundi, Silver Perch, Murray Cod, Jade Perch and Sleepy Cod among so many others.

Along with Aquaculture species, Queensland Hatcheries do a lot of restocking of dams, weirs, rivers and waterways, assisted greatly by 63 dams and weirs being part of the Stocked Impoundment Scheme (SIPS). AAQ Membership Options

Associate ($50)

Associate membership is open to those who do not meet the requirements of full membership but actively support or have an interest in the industry. You receive the association newsletter and have the opportunity to attend workshops/conferences etc.

Full Membership ($75)

Full membership is open to those who hold an aquaculture license or development approval. These members are considered commercial operators within the industry (grow out or hatcheries).
