This session looks at the ornamental fish sector from the point of view of the technology. It may surprise some of us to learn that much of the fish keeping skill we use were originally developed by the aquarium sector. In Australia the longest aquaculture operation to exist is an aquarium fish farm. This particular farm has been operated by the same family for three generations. Also in Australia we have the largest wholesaler of aquarium fish in the southern hemisphere.
This presentation will look at the equipment used in, what is probably Australia's largest re-circ system.
This hi-tec system maintains hundreds of thousands of aquarium fish in pristine condition and crystal clear water.
We will also look at the level of professionalism, perhaps putting some of us to shame???
