The Importance of Fish feed and Nutrition
In any successful aquaculture business, the biggest cost of growing a fish is the feed that you throw in the water. And the importance of selecting the correct diet will be the difference between making a profit, and avoiding calls from the bank manager!!
The Bray family of Barramundi Australia has recently taken over the distribution rights to GROBEST Aqua feeds. Andrew Bray recently traveled to Jakarta to see first hand the feed manufacturing process and will share with all in a very visual and informative talk, the importance of feed nutrition, fish health and results of growth trials. Andrew has been using Grobest feed for the past 5 years with amazing improvements in his water quality and usage, growth rates have increased greatly and the mortality numbers have dropped significantly.
While in Indonesia Andrew was lucky enough to be invited to visit a marine grouper farm which are successfully producing large quantities of Barramundi Cod and a number of different grouper species that use the new Grobest grouper diet, now available in Australia. He will share with you the technologies that are being adopted and developed, which are helping the Indonesians strive ahead of most countries, in the world of aquaculture.
